Studies have shown 1 cup fresh or frozen or 26 grams freeze-dried berries can help with endothelial function (lessening arterial stiffness) and increasing the good cholesterol known as HDL. Both of these factors reduce the risk for a heart attack or stroke.
Consider adding blueberries into your daily diet and balance the carbs with a few nuts, plain grass-fed Greek yogurt or an alternative nut-based Greek yogurt. I keep frozen organic blueberries on hand since that makes them a very easy ingredient to add.
